Opto-Control Ltd is a Finnish engineering company which manufactures and
supplies optical solutions for pulp- and paper industry globally.
Opto-Control is utilizing glassfiber technology in LINE-TEC products,
brought it first into paper industry market and started to create
systems based on such a technique. The best-known solutions in
LINE-TEC® product family are new type of optical sheet break
detectors and non-contacting edge tracking systems for paper machine
clothing.
Besides manufacturing and sales, we provide services such as consulting, product training, commissioning and spare part sales. Company operates currently in four continents; Europe, Asia, North-America and Australia.
References of paper machine manufacturers include Voith, Metso, Over, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Gorostidi and Beloith. Paper making companies using LINE-TEC units feature Stora Enso, UPM, M-Real, Sappi, Norske Skog, International Paper and Oji Paper. Opto-Control has 850 installations around the world where 25 % is installed in Scandinavia and 75 % in Europe, North-America and Asia.
